NDB Headquarters are located on 401, Xueye Road, Pudong New District, Shanghai (上海市浦东新区雪野路401号).

Taxi or Didi (China’s version of Uber) is always the easiest solution. Taxis normally bear clear symbol with the word “TAXI” on it, and can be hailed on the way, or, if you begin your tour from a hotel, the concierge will be able to get one for you. Didi cars typically look just like a normal car, and has to be booked through the APP (Didi).

You can also use the metro, as Shanghai has a very extensive and user-friendly metro network. The stops closest (less than 10-minute walk) to NDB Headquarters are China Art Museum Station (中华艺术宫站) for line 8, or Yuntai Lu Station (云台路站) for line 7.

4 Meeting Venue Information

The 8^th Annual Meeting will take place in the Multi-Functional Hall on the 5^th floor of the Podium of the NDB Headquarters complex. Please follow signs once you enter.

Working Language and Interpretation

Meetings will be conducted in English.

Simultaneous interpretation in Arabic, Chinese, English, Portuguese and Russian will be available on the first day, and interpretation in Chinese, English, Portuguese for the second day.

Lunches

Complimentary buffet lunches will be served at the Staff Canteen (third floor of the Podium) on May 30-31 for all participants. You may expect long queues, so it's advisable to spread out.

Prayer rooms

Two prayer rooms, with a clear sign on the door, are located on the fourth floor of the podium under numbers 7 & 16.

5 Registration/Information Desk

A Registration/Information Desk is located at the entrance to the HQ complex for badge collection and meeting-related enquiries.

Passport/Chinese ID should be presented to registration desk for badge collection.

6.1  Currency, Credit Card and ATMs

The official currency in China is RMB. Cash can usually be exchanged at exchange offices, banks and hotels. Exchange rates are published daily on the website: http://www.boc.cn/sourcedb/whpj/enindex.html.

A branch of Bank of China is located on B1 of the NDB Headquarter, which can make currency exchanges during the Annual Meeting. Passport or Chinese ID is required for currency exchanges.

Visa, Master, American Express, JCB, Diners Club and other major international credit cards are widely accepted in Shanghai. Cash machines (ATMs) accept major bank cards and instructions are often available in English.

Alipay and WeChat Pay are two mobile payment platforms in China. Alipay provides a mobile payment method for foreign tourists who hope to use Alipay without a Chinese bank account. Alipay Tour Pass allows overseas Alipay users to pay with Alipay in Mainland China using non-Chinese credit card or debit card.

The electricity supply in China is 220 volts AC 50 cycles. A portable international plug adapter is very useful.

The country code for China is 86. The area code for Shanghai is 021. To make an international phone call, dial 00 + country code + area code + phone number. The area code is omitted when dialing mobile phone numbers.
